Care Bears

Exeat Weekend: School closes at the normal time on Friday, 1 July and reopens on Monday, 11 July. We trust that you will enjoy a relaxing mid-term break.

Holiday Care: A week of fun, a week of play, a week of sunshine all day! Bring your children for a day of fun at our Holiday Care. Snacks, lunch and drinks will be provided. Attendance for option 1 aftercare kids is free. R140 per day for all other Grayston children. Looking froward to seeing you there. Time: 07h30 – 17h30.

Magic of Music: Thank you to all who contributed to making the Magic of Music a resounding success this year.  Dot Office made a generous donation to the Johannesburg Children’s Home, and the donations toward programmes over the two nights. We are proud to have made this charitable donation possible.

67 Minutes for Mandela: We encourage all Grayston families to support our Mandela Day drive. We ask that, leading up to 18 July, you spend 67 minutes of your time clearing out your bookshelves and sending any books that you have read but no longer need to school. These books may be suitable for all ages (from toddlers to adult) and will be donated to the Kwena Basin Community Library, a trust that we have supported for many years. Books may be delivered to Reception. We will also be collecting new or well-loved blankets. Banablankets will be on sale in the pavilion. These blankets are made by an organisation in Alexandra Township, by unemployed women. There will be different sizes available and you were welcome to purchase a blanket and donate it towards our Diepsloot initiative.

Grade 4 Language Choice: The Grade 4 children will have to select their first additional language at the end of Grade 4 for their final three years of Preparatory school. Mrs Ché McKay will have an informal question and answer session on Tuesday, 19 July at 07:30 in the pavilion. She will answer questions and concerns and give general advice based on previous experience of Grayston children. Please click here for the Language Choice Reply Slip. Parents are asked to please have their subject choice preference communicated to the school by no later than Thursday, 4 August 2016.

Co-curricular 3: The new co-curricular programme for Grade 3 to Grade 7 will take effect from Monday, 11 July. Please click here to view.
