Senior Prep Notices Friday 4 August 2017

Condolences: We extend our sincere condolences to Ms Jacobs and her family on the passing of their beloved dad. Ms Jacobs teaches in the Pre-Prep and some of you may know her from when your children were in the younger grades.

Staff News: Mrs Anderson will be on maternity leave during the last term. Her Mathematics teaching and Grade C class teacher role will be covered by Mrs Vanessa Savary, who will also be taking over from Mr Smit as Head of Subject at the end of the year. For all other staff changes for next term, please refer to the Head’s Newsletter which went out yesterday.

Congratulations to Mev. Linde who is getting married in the holidays. We wish her and her husband a happy future together.

Sport: On 7 September the Junior hockey children will be taking part in the Dainfern hockey festival. The festival will run for one day and will start at 16h00 and end at 20h00. More information regarding teams will be posted on the school website next week.

Chatterbox: A number of children participated in the Chatterbox speech evening at Kind David last week. They spoke with confidence and were well prepared. Well done to the following children:

Grade 4: Georgia Comodikes, Yusra Ahmed Gany and Kaydon Naidoo.

Grade 5: Kiera Cloete, Deeya Deva and Mpho Moloko.

Grade 6: Zack Swanepoel, Megan Taylor and Joshua Brooking.

Grade 7: Tiana Tsafandakis, Zaeem Kara and Shreeya Rama.

Chilloes: It’s Chilloes time again! Get ready for summer and show off those toes. All the children have been given an order form to order this season’s slops. The form can be returned after the holiday to your class teacher. Extra forms are available from the uniform shop. All money must be enclosed in an envelope with your order form and labelled with your child’s name and class. Please ensure you specify whether the sandals are adult or children sizes. Buy your snazzy fashion items for your family or as a “holiday season gift”.

Outreach: Many thanks to everyone that donated books and blankets on Mandela Day. A substantial amount of books will be going to Kwena Basin to the reading project in the area.
