Grade 5 to 7 iPad Training Sessions for Parents: Parents interested in learning more about how their children are making use of the iPad in their daily school life and how to increase the level of safety on the device are invited to attend either of the following training sessions:

Monday 7th March, 18h00 – 19h00

Tuesday 8th March, 07h00 – 08h00

We will be covering the following topics in these training sessions:

  • Parental restrictions on the iPad
  • Understanding the workflow within the Google Apps for Education Ecosystem

Both the sessions will be presented in the Media Centre. Please feel free to bring along your iPad so that the training will be more hands on. A limited supply of iPads will also be available for you to use during the sessions.

Open Morning: The SP Parents Open Morning will take place on Tuesday, 22 March 2016. Parents are invited to come and spend a morning, or part thereof, with their child/children. The morning will run from 7:30 until 10:10. Tea, coffee and breakfast snacks will be available.

Grayston Biathle School Challenge: The annual Biathle will take place on the Thursday before Easter.  The first event will be at 11.00 and the Grade 7 children will finish off the morning at 12.00. Please see the rules and the entry form attached. Children must be able to swim – although there will be lifeguards, noodles, boards and belts available. Entry forms together with the R70.00 must be sent to the class teacher. Any queries should be directed to Nicola Scriven ( Click here for more information.

Cake and Candy Sale: The Cake and Candy will take place at break on the 24 March 2016. The Grade 7 children will be making delicious goodies to sell on the day.  Please remember to bring your money and support them.  Bringing smaller denominations helps make the process go quicker. Goodies will cost between R5 and R8.

Outreach Team: This term the outreach team will be collecting pencil cases. You will remember last year we all collected used stationary so now we need pencil cases to put it in. If we all do a little bit we can make a big difference! Be sure to bring pencil cases that rulers can fit into. You can drop off your donation in the hall foyer. The pencil cases can be new or used. We would really appreciate it if everyone in the school could bring a pencil case so that we can give to those less fortunate than us! Just imagine the smile you can put on someones face by just bringing a pencil case! To those who have already brought, well done!

Reminder: Next week is Red Week
