Movie Afternoon: The Grade 7 Care Bears and the Pre-Prep cubs from Grade 00 and Grade R will be getting together for a special movie afternoon on the 24 June from 14:00 until 16:00 in the hall. It’s time to snuggle into a pillow and warm blanket and enjoy some much needed downtime. The cost will be R50 per child and includes a hotdog, popcorn and juice. The children will be cared for by the Care Bears under the supervision of teachers. Please save the date and we will send reply slips closer to the time.

IT Safety: Please continue to support us in our efforts to keep your child safe while they are at school by ensuring that they do not have a sim card installed in their iPad. Having a sim card or mobile data available at school allows your child to access content from the internet which would otherwise be filtered out by our firewall.
We encourage responsible use of the technology available to the learners, and to that end the Senior Prep Students will be signing up to complete a “digital driver’s licence”. This will help educate them on how to be better digital citizens, and keep themselves safe. Please encourage your child to spend some time working through the various modules and completing the questions that follow each module. Please could you also assist your child to download the digital driver’s licence app (called iDriveDigital in the App Store) onto their iPads by the end of next week (3rd June).

Roald Dahl 100: Did you know that this year we celebrate 100 years since Roald Dahl’s birth? To celebrate, we are giving you the chance to win big. For more information please click here. Send your entry to by 22 July 2016.

Condolences: Our sincere condolences to a number of staff members and their families. Nicola Bosman’s grandmother passed away on Tuesday. Ezra Ngcobo from our estate team was involved in a fatal car accident on the weekend and Francois Conradie who taught orchestra, trumpet and the saxophone at Grayston sadly also passed away last week. Our thoughts are with all their families during this difficult time.

Aftercare: The Aftercare programmes from Grade 000 to Grade Seven are co-ordinated by experienced staff and cater for those parents who require supervised after school or sports care for their children.  Our Aftercare facility is offered at the school on a daily basis and also during the school holidays.
