Movie Night and Camp Out: The Parents Association will be hosting a movie night and Camp Out on Saturday 15 October. The day will consist of the traditional camp out on the top field and a big screen movie. The movie for the evening is “Finding Dory”. We request that parents bring a picnic type meal and enjoy the evening watching the movie on the field with their family and friends, and then a night of camping should they wish to. Camping is entirely voluntary. The cost for the movie night and camp out is R30 per person. Tickets for the evening will go on sale at the tuckshop from Monday, 19 September 2016. Please note that no braais or gas fires will be allowed. Boerewors rolls, popcorn and soft drinks will be on sale as part of the Grade 7 fundraising effort. Parking for those who are camping will be available on the bottom fields from 14:30 on the day. Campers are welcome to unpack theirs vehicles on the top field before moving to the designated parking area on the bottom field. No vehicles will be allowed on the top field after 15:30. We look forward to enjoying the afternoon and evening together.

Grade R: Please revise the letters Aa to Qq with your children. We will be introducing Ss next week so please encourage children to bring objects or pictures that have this letter in their names.

Heritage Day: To celebrate Heritage Day, we invite the Grade R children to wear something ‘South African’ to school on Friday, 23 September. The Grade 00 children will be celebrating a day of South African food and cultural dress on Thursday, 22 September – please refer to the email that you received for details.

Lost Property: We will be displaying the hordes of lost property on the green table in the Pre Prep playground on Friday, 23 September.

Wacky Wellies: Pre Prep children will be entertained by a reading of the book, Wacky Wellies, on Wednesday, 21 September. The book will be on sale at a cost of R150 per copy between 12:00 and 13:30.
