Pre Prep Notices 02 June 2017

Pre Prep Dads’ Day: To celebrate Father’s Day, we invite all our dads to spend an hour or two with their children on Thursday, 15 June from 07:30 to 09:30. The theme of the morning is PIRATES and the children will be preparing their accessories for the event during class a day or two before the event. We suggest that dads come dressed in comfortable clothes, ready to walk the plank and dig for treasure! You are welcome to enter into the spirit of things by accessorising with a scarf, an eye patch or something similar. The children will be grouped in such a way that siblings will be together so that there is no need for dads to split themselves in two (or three!).

Reply Slips: Please remember to complete and return the consent forms for the hearing screening and measles innoculations as soon as possible.

Staff on Course: Ms Jacobs and Mrs Mulholland will be away on course on 6 & 7 June and again on 20, 21 and 22 June. Provision has been made for the care of their classes and the parents of Grade 000 and Grade RC will be notified of these arrangements shortly. Please contact Ms Johnson (lyndaj@graystonprep.co.za) should you have any concerns during these times.

Late Arrivals: We know that the cooler mornings make it more difficult to get going, but we do appeal to parents to get their children to school punctually. It is very disruptive to have children wander in when the morning routine is under way.

Grayston Carnival: It’s carnival time again on Saturday, 8 July. Please join us for a fantastic, fun day out for the whole family! There will be Interhouse football and netball, lots of yummy food, drinks and hot coffee. More information will follow soon.
