Grade One Help: The Grade Ones require a selection of boxes for a project they are undertaking after midterm. We ask parents to collect a variety of boxes ranging in size from cereal boxes to very large boxes such as those that house appliance like fridges or stoves. Please store the boxes you collect at home since we do not have storage space at school. We will let you know when to bring the boxes to school.

Concert DVD and Photographs: Copies of the concert DVD and photographs that were ordered have been sent home. There are a few spare copies of the DVD available. Should you wish to purchase a copy at R150, please contact Ms Johnson at

Interhouse Athletics: The Interhouse Athletics was postponed at the end of last term as a result of poor weather and will now take place at 08:00 on Friday, 23 September. The Grade Three children will participate in this event and should come to school wearing their normal school uniform with their house t-shirts and can be collected at the usual close of school. The Grade One and Two children will spend the day in their classrooms as usual since their athletics event is scheduled for Friday, 7 October.

Swoosh: Offers a programme for all primary school netball players who wish to play netball all year round.  This is a unique opportunity to be coached enthusiastic and skilled coaches, make a lot of new friends and receive individual skills training. You can join the programme at any stage of the year and for any period of time. Holiday clinics are also available. Our aim is to bring back the “fun” in netball and equip players with netball skills, such as ball handling, passing, catching, hand eye coordination and goal shooting skills. We embrace netball as a culture and a way of healthy living, and introduce a gentle element of competition. Term 3 Swoosh starts at Grayston Prep on Saturday, 17 September. If you would like to sign up your daughter or would like more information on Swoosh, please email
