News2

Aftercare/ Kids Club: Please diarise the 20 November 2015 for the end of year Aftercare/ Kids Club Party, more details to follow. Aftercare/ Kids Club will be closed on Friday, 4 December 2015 and will reopen on Monday, 7 December 2015.

Tuck-shop: We will be launching our new healthy schools tuck-shop in January 2016. We would like to thank the Lunch Box for their service over the last few years. Should you have any queries regarding this change please feel free to contact tammym@graystonprep.co.za.

Swimming Uniform: Please ensure that the children bring the Grayston rash vest to school along with their swimming costumes and caps for swimming lessons. They swim in the middle of the day when the sun is at its worst and really need as much protection from it as can be provided.

Thank you: We received the following message of thanks from Dr Place co-ordinator of the Kwena Basin Project.

Celebration of Me: Please set aside the evening of Thursday, 26 November to celebrate the unique nature and achievements of our Grade One, Grade Two and Grade Three children. They are hard at work preparing for the occasion and are looking forward to ending their academic year with you. Each of the children will receive a certificate prepared especially for him/her by the class teacher and we have no doubt you will enjoy this compulsory function.

Library Books: Please ensure that all library books are returned to school by 13 November 2015.

Grade 4 Information Morning: The Grade 3 parents are invited to attend a Gr 4 information morning at 07:30 till 08:30 on Thursday, 19 November in the school pavilion. Mr Hayter will be discussing the transition from the Foundation to the Intermediate phase, as well as what can be expected from a Senior Prep child. The Grade 3 children will be spending the morning with the Gr 4 teachers and will return to their classes after break.
Carols by Candlelight: The Carols by Candlelight service will take place on Tuesday, 10 November in the school hall. There will be a service for the Junior Prep children and parents at 17h30,  followed with a service at 18h45 for the Senior Prep children and their parents. Each service will last about 50 minutes and will include a performance by the choir. Entry is free and seats are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. The Grade 7 Outreach Programme will be conducting a cash collection on the evening, any donations will be greatly appreciated.
