Junior Prep Notices 29 January 2016

DSC_0258Grade 3 Co-Curricular: The co-curricular programme for Grade 3 is now in full swing. If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will assist you.

Art shirts: Please send a large T-shirt to school to be used as a ‘cover-all’ for art activities.

Junior Prep Class Party: Our annual Junior Prep class party will take place on Friday, 5 February. We invite all our Junior Prep families to pack a picnic basket and join us from 17:00 to 19:00 that evening on Sam’s Field. As per the request of many parents, we will label various areas of the field and encourage you to congregate in class groups so that you get to meet the other parents and children in the class.

Lost Property Clearance: Lost property is collected and placed in the black box outside Mrs Lachenicht’s classroom. Every fortnight, the box will be cleared and those items that have not been claimed will be sent to the uniform shop. The first clearance of this term will take place on Wednesday afternoon, 3 February. Please make a concerted effort to check the box for items that your child may have lost.

Travelling Bookshop: A huge variety of brand new top quality books will be on sale in the Library on Monday, 1 February 2016 from 10h00 till 14h30 and Tuesday, 2 February from 07h30 till 14h00. Credit/Debit Card facilities will be available.

Outreach: Do you know how fortunate we are to get brand-new stationary at the beginning of every year? Just imagine going to school and having to share one pencil between twenty five children! It must be so hard to study or learn without the right equipment. There is so much we can do to help these children!

This term the outreach team will be collecting pencil cases. You will remember last year we all collected used stationary so now we need pencil cases to put it in. If we all do a little bit we can make a big difference! Be sure to bring pencil cases that rulers can fit into. You can drop off your donation in the hall foyer. The pencil cases can be new or used. We would really appreciate it if everyone in the school could bring a pencil case so that we can give to those less fortunate than us! Just imagine the smile you can put on someones face by just bringing a pencil case.
