Heritage Day JP 2014

Interhouse Athletics: The Grade One and Two children will participate in their athletics event on Friday, 7 October at 07:45. Parents are most welcome to attend the event which will last for about an hour.

Parent Child tournament and Interhouse Tennis: The resurfacing of the tennis courts has been delayed and they will only be finished at the end of September. Due to these unforeseen circumstances we have to postpone the Grayston Parent/Child tennis tournament to Sunday 16 October, starting at 13:00 and the Interhouse tennis toMonday 17 October, starting at 13:30. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please could all entries for the Parent/Child tennis tournament on Sunday 16 October be emailed to Kate Dixon at kated@graystonprep.co.za.

School Uniform: Please ensure that your children adhere to the Grayston uniform code. If it is chilly, children would wear their tracksuits, black tackies and white socks. It is also essential that they wear the Grayston floppy hats or caps. Please remember that the long-sleeved shirt is part of the winter uniform.

Staff News : We welcome Khulani a new staff member to the Grayston Kids Club (Aftercare) family.

Swimming: PE swimming will resume as normal from Monday, 26 September 2016.

Movie Night and Camp Out: The Parents Association will be hosting a movie night and Camp Out on Saturday 15 October. The day will consist of the traditional camp out on the top field and a big screen movie. The movie for the evening is “Finding Dory”. We request that parents bring a picnic type meal and enjoy the evening watching the movie on the field with their family and friends, and then a night of camping should they wish to. Camping is entirely voluntary. The cost for the movie night and camp out is R30 per person. Tickets for the evening will go on sale at the tuckshop from Monday, 19 September 2016. Please note that no braais or gas fires will be allowed. Boerewors rolls, popcorn and soft drinks will be on sale as part of the Grade 7 fundraising effort. Parking for those who are camping will be available on the bottom fields from 14:30 on the day. Campers are welcome to unpack theirs vehicles on the top field before moving to the designated parking area on the bottom field. No vehicles will be allowed on the top field after 15:30. We look forward to enjoying the afternoon and evening together.

Condolences: Our sincere condolences to Connor and Reese Egberink on the loss of their grandfather last Thursday. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
