National Teacher’s Awards: On Friday 24 February 2017, we will be hosting the “National Teachers Awards”. Please be aware that the Pre Prep and Junior Prep parking will be fully utilised, parents are encouraged to use the main gate when fetching their children from holiday care.

Condolences: We extend our sincere condolences to the Voigt family on the tragic loss of their wife and mother, Carol Dundas. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

World Book Day: Grayston will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday, 2 March. We have been reading the stories of the well-known children’s author, Dr Seuss and so invite all our children to come to school on that day dressed as one of the many Dr Seuss characters. They should be able to tell us who the character is and in which book he/she is to be found. Among the many exciting things that are planned for the day, the children will be treated to a performance by the travelling acting troupe, Hooked on Books, and will enjoy sharing a storybook with their older counterparts in the Senior Prep!

Tennis Coaching: We are excited to be launching a Grayston Tennis Academy starting from term 2. The academy will offer private or group lessons instructed by our highly qualified coaches. Further information will be communicated in due course. Patrick will continue his lessons for the remainder of the first term. We would like to take this opportunity to thank and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

Sport: Should Grayston sport be cancelled due to bad weather the following activities will take place as normal: Art Club, Drama and Chess. For non Grayston activities please contact the relevant service provider.

Renovations: The Grayston Café quad is currently under construction. It’s going to be new and exciting. Watch this space.

Grade One

The Grade Ones have been very busy finding similarities and differences between two versions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They used the ‘double bubble’ thinking map to show their ideas and talked about what they found.

Grade Two

The Grade Twos are enjoying listening to stories written by Dr Seuss in preparation for World Book Day. The rainy weather has meant that they’ve also been able to watch a few Dr Seuss videos on Youtube!

Grade Three

  • Healthy me, healthy life! The Grade Threes are learning all about healthy eating and caring for their teeth and skin. With all this knowledge they are going to be the cleanest, healthiest kids on the block!
  • They are looking forward to their outing to Holy Family College to experience a 1905 school day. Please return the permissions slips as soon as possible.
