Junior Prep Notices 18 March 2016

World Book Day

Public holidays: There are two public holidays next week (Monday, 21 March is Human Rights Day and Friday, 25 March is Good Friday) but there will be school as usual on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Progress Interviews: If you have not yet made an appointment to see your child’s teacher, please consult the interview schedule on the classroom window and choose a time that is convenient for you.

Grade One Appeal: The Grade One teachers are still needing egg boxes and clean white 2 litre milk bottles.

Youth Day: Youth Day falls on Thursday, 16 June this year and there will be a school holiday on Friday, 17 June.

Congratulations: Our congratulations go to the Schoeman family on the birth of baby Tessa.

Condolences: We extend our condolences to the Cloete family on the loss of their beloved mom and granny.

Cake and Candy Sale: The Cake and Candy will take place at break on the 24 March 2016. The Grade 7 children will be making delicious goodies to sell on the day.  Please remember to bring your money and support them.  Bringing smaller denominations helps make the process go quicker. Goodies will cost between R5 and R8.

Grayston Biathle School Challenge: The annual Biathle will take place on the Thursday before Easter.  The first event will be at 11.00 and the Grade 7 children will finish off the morning at 12.00. Please see the rules and the entry form attached. Children must be able to swim – although there will be lifeguards, noodles, boards and belts available. Library Books: All outstanding library books need to be returned to the library on or before 24 March 2016.

Co-Curricular 2 and Explanation: Please see attached Co-Curricular 2 as well as a detailed explanation. The Co-Curricular will commence on the 4 April 2016.
