Junior Prep Notices 07 October 2016

dsc_1429Thank You: We would like to thank all the parents and children for the gifts, the flowers, the delicious eats and the well wishes received on Wednesday, 5 October in recognition of World Teachers’ Day. We appreciate the support of all our parents and love teaching your children!

Interhouse Athletics: The Grade One and Two children had a whale of a time on Friday and we would like to thank all the parents who managed to take the time to watch the activity! Our thanks go to the PE coaches for organising the event and to the class teachers for their assistance.

Meet the Authors: The Grade One, Two and Three children have been hard at work all year, writing and publishing a variety of books. They extend a cordial invitation to you to ‘meet the authors’ in their classrooms so that you can view their work from 11:15 until 12:00 on Thursday, 20 October. Entry is by ticket only at the nominal cost of R20 per family, payable in advance. Please be so kind as to send the money to school prior to the event so that your tickets can be issued. All proceeds will go towards supporting the Kwena Basin Library Trust which is dedicated to providing an extensive library service to this community.

Grade 7 Market Day: Our Grade Seven children are busy with an entrepreneurial project as part of the Economic Management Sciences curriculum. They are hard at work creating items to sell to their younger counterparts. The Junior Prep children are invited to ‘go shopping’ during the school morning on Friday, 14 October. Should you wish your child to participate, please ensure that he/she brings a maximum of R30 (preferably in R10 notes) to school next Friday.

Headlice: These nasty little creatures are visiting again! We suggest that you check your children’s hair and apply the recommended treatment if necessary. Children require a clearance certificate from a medical practitioner before they return to school. It is also advisable to wash the children’s hats and remind them not to share hats on the playground.

Lost Property: For your convenience we have opened a dedicated lost property room in the admin block. This will cater for Junior Prep & Senior Prep lost property. Pre Prep lost property will remain as is currently. Parents and learners may visit the lost property room between 7am and 3pm daily.  You will be assisted by Mimo who will also maintain a list of all marked items. Please feel free to email Mimo if you are looking for a specific item.  Unmarked items will be kept for a period of 7 days. We ask parents to please clearly mark all items with your child name and surname.
