Exeat Weekend: School closes at the normal time on Friday, 1 July and reopens on Monday, 11 July. We trust that you will enjoy a relaxing mid-term break.

Holiday Care: A week of fun, a week of play, a week of sunshine all day! Bring your children for a day of fun at our Holiday Care. Snacks, lunch and drinks will be provided. Attendance for option 1 aftercare kids is free. R140 per day for all other Grayston children. Looking froward to seeing you there. Time: 07h30 – 17h30.

Concert Tickets: Booking of the seats that you have reserved will open on Tuesday, 12 July at 07:00 at Reception. You will be able to select the actual seats that you want according to the reservations you have made and pay for them (R50 each). You will also be able to purchase any spare seats which are not needed by other families.

Concert DVD: We will be having a professional DVD made of the concert at the Monday evening performance. Copies of this can be ordered at a cost of R150 each. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please send the order form to your child’s class teacher by Friday, 5 August. Please do not send any money to school – your account will be debited with the required amount.

Magic of Music: Thank you to all who contributed to making the Magic of Music a resounding success this year.  Dot Office made a generous donation to the Johannesburg Children’s Home, and the donations toward programmes over the two nights. We are proud to have made this charitable donation possible.

Exeat Weekend: School closes at the normal time on Friday, 1 July and reopens on Monday, 11 July. We trust that you will enjoy a relaxing mid-term break.

Winter Term Reports: The children will be bringing their Winter Term Reports home today. We  ask that you complete the reply slip and return it to school on Monday, 11 July to acknowledge receipt of your child’s report. Should you wish to discuss anything arising from the report, please contact the class teacher to make an appointment at a mutually convenient time.

67 Minutes for Mandela: We encourage all Grayston families to support our Mandela Day drive. We ask that, leading up to 18 July, you spend 67 minutes of your time clearing out your bookshelves and sending any books that you have read but no longer need to school. These books may be suitable for all ages (from toddlers to adult) and will be donated to the Kwena Basin Community Library, a trust that we have supported for many years. Books may be delivered to Reception. We will also be collecting new or well-loved blankets. Banablankets will be on sale in the pavilion. These blankets are made by an organisation in Alexandra Township, by unemployed women. There will be different sizes available and you were welcome to purchase a blanket and donate it towards our Diepsloot initiative.

Co-curricular 3: The new co-curricular programme for Grade 3 to Grade 7 will take effect from Monday, 11 July. Please click here to view. The Week Ahead
